Welcome to our world!

It was two and a half years ago that I first wrote an intentionally cryptic “T-30 Months” at the top of the whiteboard in my office.  Back then, this was just another one of my crazy ideas — like starting a farm, or buying a luxury submarine to open an underwater B&B.  But now we’ve made it at least a third of the way through our to-do list, and we’re actually leaving!

This site is our main way to keep in touch — to let you know where we are, show you what we’re seeing, and feel connected to our friends back home (and it’s the kids’ world-schooling writing assignments).  So read, enjoy, and please, comment!  And if you want to get an email notice whenever we post something new, use the “subscribe” box on the right.

Hi Suzanne and Josh, the website looks fabulous! I’m so sorry we did not hang out in spring time. Life goes too fast. We’ll definitely check your website regularly: what an adventure! Wishing you many many happy moments in the year to come!! Love from Ann, Mark, Eva and Eline

  3. Hi Josh & family!

We have been reading this blog to each other the last two days, since we found out you were going on this adventure. We had wondered why we had stopped seeing you (Josh) at HVWT meetings a while back, and guessed you had been busy, much like it happened to ourselves for a few months ago. Well, we were right about the busy part, but you had a lot more on your plates than we did, really, and we hope all the work you must have done in the last months or years will bear delicious fruit!

We can’t wait to read about what you see, do and learn. The RTW trip has been a fantasy of mine for a long time, and seeing someone we know take the challenge of living this dream will be more fuel on the fire that one day may make it possible.

Best of luck in your travels!
